Now that Sue is settling in, I’ve had a chance to interact frequently with many amazing staff. I’m blown away over and over with the professionalism and personal ownership you all have. It’s clear that you know Sue well, care about her and are personally invested in her well-being, and I hope you ALL know how profoundly grateful I am for that! It makes me, as her only family in Oregon, feel like we’re a team. I know you’ve got her back, you’ve gained my trust, and I don’t have to worry so much.

Special thanks to Edgar and Angelo, Juliette and Bella, who are with Sue day in and day out, helping her live her best life. Special thanks also to Desiree, Kathy and Kathie for finding creative ways to engage Sue when she’s open to it. It’s not often that I come across such consistent, facility-wide professionalism – M.P. is doing a lot right! Thank you all.

P.S. Front desk gals are always so patient and helpful and friendly no matter how busy.

Exercise, clubs, entertainment, a pool, games, and more are some of the activities offered to the residents. I haven't seen my loved one thrive so much before here. The grounds are wonderful and next to a nature preserve. It feels like you are walking into a hotel. The executive director gets to know each resident personally, and the staff are wonderful, caring and thoughtful. The maintenance team is quick to respond to requests made by the residents. Each new resident gets a personal welcome party with 12 or 14 guests and they provide the meal and beverages. They have fresh flowers that the resident or guests can take home after the welcome party. The community makes it a festive occasion each holiday that includes brunches for the family and resident.

I am beyond appreciative for all the interactions with you. I cannot really express how much your steady presence has meant to us, to me in particular, during such a challenging transition. Keep doing what you are doing, you demonstrate customer care above and beyond anything I could have wished for, and I am confident you do this with everyone working through these same difficult transitions. Thank you!

The next time I saw Savannah, I let her know how much I appreciated that level of attention to residents. Her actions were not only timely, but showed understanding of her role in terms of residents and family members at Miramont Pointe. This is an example of forward thinking that can be an example for all team members. Please let her know that we appreciate her efforts.

As you know I am leaving to live closer to my family. I promise to stay in touch, although, it may be a while before I do so, as I will want to get settled.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for, oh so many things. I wish you all peace and good health in the years to come.

The flowers were beautiful and the setting lovely. The grandchildren delighted in the balloons and candy attached to them. Special thanks and appreciate should be forwarded to Chef Chris for the delicious dinner and special ‘mac and cheese’ for the kids. (That could be a luncheon or dinner special offered to the residents. Most of the adults sampled it, and the consensus was It was great!). AB, our server, did a super job, as well.
